At Sticksy, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you visit our website, place an order, play one of our games, or otherwise interact with us. Our games are Lowkey and Sticker Shop Simulator, and each has its own section below. We want to be straightforward about our practices so you can make informed decisions.

What Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly and information that is gathered automatically when you use our site.

Information You Give Us

• Contact and shipping details: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and billing address.
• Payment information: credit or debit card details, PayPal account information, or other payment credentials. Payment processing is handled securely by Shopify and our payment processors; we do not store your full card number.
• Order details: the products you purchase, quantities, customization choices, and any design files or artwork you upload.
• Account information: if you create an account, your username, password, and saved preferences.
• Communications: anything you share when you contact our support team, leave a review, or respond to a survey.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our site, certain information is collected through cookies and similar technologies:

• Device and browser data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device identifiers.
• Usage data: the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, where you came from, and what you click on.
• Location data: your approximate geographic location based on your IP address.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• Fulfilling orders: processing payments, printing your products, shipping your order, and sending order confirmations and tracking updates.
• Providing customer support: responding to your questions, handling returns or reprints, and resolving issues with your orders.
• Improving our products and website: understanding how customers use our site so we can make it better, identifying popular products, and fixing technical problems.
• Marketing and promotions: sending you emails about new products, sales, or promotions (only if you have opted in). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each email.
• Fraud prevention and security: protecting against unauthorized transactions and ensuring the security of our website and your account.
• Legal compliance: meeting our obligations under Canadian law, including tax reporting and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: we work with third parties who help us run our business. This includes Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers (Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, and others for international orders), email service providers, and analytics tools. These providers only access the information they need to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: if Sticksy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify processes your personal information to provide us with the e-commerce services that power our website, including checkout, payment processing, and order management. Shopify may also use data from your interactions with our store, combined with data from other Shopify merchants, to improve its platform and services. Our Games

We make two games, Lowkey and Sticker Shop Simulator. Neither one uses analytics or crash reporting tools, and neither one tracks you across other apps or websites.

When you get a game from the App Store, Google Play or Steam, the store handles your account and your payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Lowkey

Lowkey is free to play. You can play against bots without an internet connection. When your device is online, the game sets up a profile for you on our server so your progress and rewards are kept, and so you can play with other people.

What our server keeps:

• The name you pick and how your cloud looks (its color, hat and shades), plus your table colors.
• Your progress: games played, wins, XP, coins, unlocked items, daily missions and streaks.
• A random player ID and a sign-in key that connects your device to your profile. We only store a scrambled version of the key.
• If you sign in through Game Center, Google Play Games, Steam, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the account ID that service gives us, so your progress follows you to other devices. We don't store your email address, even when Apple shares it with us during sign-in.
• A record of each purchase: the store, its transaction ID, what you bought and when.
• For games against bots played while online, the shuffle and the time of the game, so we can check the rewards you earned.

Playing with other people: you join games with room codes, public rooms or quick play. Players at your table see your name, your cloud and your player ID. If you host a public room, your name shows in the list of open rooms. There is no chat in Lowkey, only preset emotes. Rooms and games in progress are never saved. They are deleted a few minutes after a game ends.

Purchases: Lowkey sells coin packs and a Supporter Pack. Coins only buy cosmetic items. The store takes the payment, and our server checks the receipt with the store before giving you what you bought.

Ads: the phone versions may offer short video ads from Google AdMob that you can choose to watch for a reward, like extra coins. You only see an ad if you tap to watch one. When ads are offered, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and information about the ads you see, as described in Google's privacy policy. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice any time under Ad privacy choices in Settings. We share your Lowkey player ID with AdMob so we can confirm you finished the video and give you the reward.

On your device: the game saves your name, your cloud's look, your player ID, your sign-in key and your settings in a file on your device.

Connection data: while you're connected, our server sees your IP address. It uses it only to stop people from flooding the server and doesn't store it. Lowkey's server is hosted by Hetzner.

Deleting your Lowkey account: go to Settings and tap Delete my account. This deletes your profile, your progress, your unlocks and any linked sign-ins. We keep the purchase records for our accounting, but they are no longer connected to you. If you can't open the game, email support@sticksy.ca with your Lowkey name and we'll delete your account for you.

Sticker Shop Simulator

You pay once for Sticker Shop Simulator. It has no accounts with us, no ads and nothing to buy inside the game.

On your device: your shops, drawings, imported pictures, photos and settings are saved in the game's own folder on your device. That includes anything you type into the game, like your shop name, your character's name and pronouns, and your cat's name. None of it is sent to us. On iPhone and iPad you can see this folder in the Files app. The game doesn't ask for access to your camera, microphone or photo library.

Steam: when you play on Steam, the game uses Steam to unlock achievements, show which of your Steam friends are playing, and let you invite friends to play together. When you play together, your character's name and look, and the host's whole shop (including its designs and pictures), are sent between your computers through Steam. Your friends' names are shown in the game but never saved. Steam's part of this is covered by Valve's privacy policy.

Ordering real stickers: if you choose "Open in Sticksy" to order a design as a real sticker, the game uploads that design to our website so our creator can open it in your browser. The upload includes the design's name, its text, shapes, stamps and brush strokes, and any pictures you added to it, including their original file names. These files are stored on our servers so the creator can load them, and anyone who has a file's link can open it. The link includes a long random ID, so it can't be guessed. From there, ordering works the same as any other order on our website. This button is the only way the game sends anything to us.

The Game Pages on Our Website

The Sticker Shop Simulator page on this site saves the stickers you place on it, and the little goals you complete there, in your browser's local storage. That data stays in your browser and is never sent to us. When you buy the Lowkey deck from the Lowkey page, it's an ordinary order through our store and is covered by the rest of this policy.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:

• Order and transaction data is retained for at least 7 years to comply with Canadian tax and accounting requirements.
• Account information is kept as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or request removal.
• Lowkey profiles are kept until you delete your account in the game or ask us to delete it.
• Designs sent from Sticker Shop Simulator are kept like other designs uploaded to our creator, until you ask us to delete them.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: you can ask us to update or correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion: you can request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Portability: you can request a copy of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent (for example, for marketing emails), you can withdraw it at any time.
• Opt out of marketing: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email, or by contacting us directly.

For Canadian Residents

Your information is protected under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. You have the right to access and correct your personal information, and to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.

International Transfers

Sticksy is based in Canada. If you are accessing our site from outside Canada, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in Canada. We also use service providers that may process data in other countries (for example, the United States). Where your information is transferred outside of your home country, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual protections consistent with applicable data protection laws.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@sticksy.ca and we will promptly delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. This includes SSL encryption on our website, secure payment processing through Shopify, and restricted access to personal data within our organization. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
