Choosing Sticker Shapes in the Creator
The first step in creating a sticker is choosing its shape. The shape determines the outline of your final sticker—the edge where it gets cut.
You'll find shape options in the left toolbar of the Creator.
Die-Cut (Auto-Trace)

Die-cut is the most powerful option. Instead of a fixed shape, the sticker outline automatically traces around whatever content you add to the canvas.
How Die-Cut Works
- You add an image, text, or other elements to the canvas
- The Creator analyzes your content
- It generates an outline that follows the shape of your design
- The outline updates automatically as you move or modify elements
When to Use Die-Cut
- Photos with clear subjects — The outline hugs your subject
- Logos and illustrations — Preserves the unique shape of your design
- Character stickers — Perfect for cartoon or illustration stickers
- Text-only designs — The sticker shape follows your text
Die-Cut Settings
When using die-cut, you get a special setting called Outline Smoothness:
- Lower values (0-25%) — Tighter, more detailed outline that follows every curve
- Medium values (25-50%) — Balanced smoothness, good for most designs
- Higher values (50-100%) — Smoother, more simplified outline
Tip: For complex images with lots of small details, higher smoothness often looks cleaner. For simple shapes, lower smoothness preserves more detail.
Best Results with Die-Cut
- Use images with transparent backgrounds (PNG format)
- Or use the Remove Background feature after uploading
- Keep important details away from the very edges
- Test different smoothness settings to find what looks best
Circle

A classic, timeless shape. Circles work with almost any design and look clean on any surface.
When to Use Circles
- Logos that fit in round frames
- Portrait photos
- Simple icons or symbols
- Badge-style designs
Circle Properties
Circles maintain a 1:1 aspect ratio. When you adjust the width, the height changes proportionally to keep it perfectly round.
Square (Rounded Rectangle)

Despite the name, this is actually a rounded rectangle. The corner radius is adjustable, so it can range from sharp corners to fully rounded.
When to Use Squares
- Photos and scenes that need more canvas space
- Text-heavy designs
- Artwork that doesn't fit in circles
- Labels and informational stickers
Corner Radius
The Corner Radius slider (in Design Settings) controls how rounded the corners are:
- 0% — Sharp, 90-degree corners
- 25% — Slightly rounded
- 50% — Nicely rounded (default)
- 75% — Very rounded
- 100% — Fully rounded (becomes pill-shaped or circular depending on proportions)

Changing Shapes
You can change your sticker's shape at any time:
- Simply click a different shape in the toolbar
- Your content (images, text) stays in place
- The new shape becomes your sticker base
Your design elements are preserved—only the outer shape changes.
Shape + Content Relationship
The shape defines the boundary of your sticker. Content can be:
- Inside the shape — Fully visible on the final sticker
- Extending beyond the shape — Gets clipped/cut off at the edge
For die-cut stickers, the shape IS the content—there's no fixed boundary.
