Sticksy

How do I prepare my artwork for stickers?

Getting your artwork print-ready doesn't have to be complicated. Here are the key things to get right:

File format:

  • PNG with a transparent background is ideal, especially for die-cut stickers — the cut line will follow your artwork's shape
  • High-quality JPEG and PDF files also work

Resolution:

  • 300 DPI minimum — this ensures your stickers look sharp and crisp when printed
  • Higher resolution is always better; low-res files may appear blurry or pixelated

Colour mode:

  • Use CMYK colour mode for the best colour accuracy in print
  • If you design in RGB (which most screens use), colours may shift slightly when converted to CMYK for printing

Layout tips:

  • Keep important text and elements away from the edges of your design — at least 1/8" from the cut line
  • Extend your background slightly beyond the cut line (this is called bleed) to avoid white edges

Not sure if your file is ready? Upload it and we'll review it during the proofing process. If anything needs adjusting, we'll let you know before printing.
