Finished Tin Toy Robot paper model: a red and cream 1950s style robot with slot eyes behind a grille, a chest panel of dials and gauges, stubby arms held out in front, big flat teal feet and a yellow wind-up key on its back

Quantity

Meet Walter, a 1950s wind-up tin robot who never existed. He is red and cream with teal and yellow trim, printed rivets and a little honest wear, the way old lithographed tin looks after years of play. His chest panel has a spring gauge, a step counter, a mood meter stuck on fine and a tiny oil door. Two slot eyes look out from behind a grille. His stubby arms stick out in front, he stands on two big flat feet, and a big wind-up key sticks out of his back.

This is one of our easiest kits: boxes and simple tubes, with no tiny pieces. Every part comes already cut and scored, so there is no knife work. You fold, glue the labelled flaps and press the raised plates onto outlines printed with their letters.

In the box: 19 loose parts, already cut out and scored, on heavy cardstock printed in full colour, and a step by step picture manual in English and French.

You need: white PVA glue, a toothpick and an afternoon.

Finished size: 5.5 x 5.5 x 8.25 in. Level: easy. Contains small parts, best for ages 10 and up.

Designed by The Papercrafts, cut and packed by Sticksy.
