A big bull moose standing up to his ankles in a northern marsh in the fall. He has the high humped shoulders, the long heavy head with the big nose hanging over the chin, the bell of skin under the throat, long stilt legs and a very small tail. The body is built in flat facets, ring by ring, from the rump to the nose. The antlers are the showpiece: two huge broad blades with chunky points, each one double thick and glued flat to a strong stem on top of the skull.

His coat runs from near black along the back through rich browns to pale grey-tan legs, with fine fur strokes in the print and a small dark eye. Around his hooves are deep blue-grey water, gold grass and rust lily pads, with a beaver swimming past. You also build a lodge of sticks, a chewed stump, a dead tree and two clumps of cattails.

Every part comes already cut and scored, so there is no knife work. You fold, glue the labelled flaps and build it section by section: body, head, legs, marsh, antlers and what stands around him. The pieces that sit on the model have their spots printed on it, marked with their letter.

In the box: 43 loose parts, already cut out and scored, on heavy cardstock printed in full colour, and a step by step picture manual in English and French.

You need: white PVA glue, a toothpick and a few evenings. Tweezers help with the small parts.
