Build a fairground carousel out of card, and then spin it. A whale, an elephant, a fox, a rooster, a hare and a horse ride on barber striped poles under a red and cream big top, around a painted band organ with gold pipes and mirrors. There is a little ticket booth to stand beside it.

It really turns. In the first few steps you build a paper pivot into the base, and everything above it spins on that.

Every part comes already cut and scored, so there is no knife work. You fold, glue the labelled flaps and build it section by section: base, platform, animals, canopy, top, ticket booth. Each animal is its own small build, and every part has its spot printed on the model.

In the box: 49 loose parts, already cut out and scored, on heavy cardstock printed in full colour, and a step by step picture manual in English and French.

You need: white PVA glue, a toothpick and a few evenings. Tweezers help with the small parts.

Finished size: 7.5 x 6.25 x 9 in. Level: hard. Contains small parts, best for ages 14 and up.
